As a student, working his way through college,
Carl fell in love with high-performance engines
and subsequently spent over thirteen years in
the automotive engineering field.

With a never-ending thirst to learn all the
newest machining technology, Carl learned
metallurgy of the newest materials, heat
treatments and machining practices as well as
design, engine building, dyno
testing, machining, welding and sheet metal
fabrication. He became a machinist enthusiast
when he mastered machining of high-performance
cylinder heads.

After gaining a high level of expertise in
the automotive industry, he entered the higher
technical environment of aerospace.

His 30 years of experience with results-driven


manufacturing and production management became the
foundation for CLI.
